I’ve been teaching A-Level Chemistry for eight years, mostly with students who find physical chemistry harder than the rest of the course. I’m particularly keen on energetics, equilibria and electrochemistry. Lessons usually start with a short explanation before we move straight into exam questions. I also spend time showing students exactly where calculation marks are gained or lost, as this is often where small mistakes become expensive.

Hi! I’m a Chemistry graduate and have tutored A-Level Chemistry for just over four years. Organic chemistry is probably my favourite part to teach, especially reaction mechanisms once students realise there’s a pattern behind them. I keep lessons fairly relaxed and I’m happy for students to bring whatever they’re stuck on that week. Near exams, we normally switch to timed papers and go through the mark scheme together afterwards.

I have six years of experience tutoring A-Level Chemistry alongside laboratory and research work. My teaching is quite methodical, particularly for quantitative chemistry, kinetics and equilibrium questions. I ask students to explain their reasoning aloud rather than simply give me an answer, which makes misconceptions much easier to spot. Closer to the final exams, I focus heavily on unfamiliar applications and longer structured questions.
